Seventh Generation Review and Giveaway

I recently had the opportunity to try some products from Seventh Generation. Seventh Generation is a line of household, cleaning, baby and feminine products that are safe for people and the environment.

Seventh Generation sent me the Living Home Starter Kit to test and review. This kit included:

• Glass & Surface Cleaner - Ruby Grapefruit and Herb
• All Purpose Cleaner - Green Mandarin & Leaf
• Toilet Bowl Cleaner - Emerald Cypress & Fir
• Shower Cleaner - Green Mandarin & Leaf
• Tub & Tile - Emerald Cypress & Fir
• Kitchen Cleaner - Wild Orange & Cedar Spice
• Natural paper Towels x2
• Seventh Generation Recycled Bag

So, I get the box on a day that little P is home sick from school. I'm opening it and he's like 'Is there something for me mommy?' I said 'No, but you can help unpack it if you want.' Well anyone that knows him, knows that he HATES to pick up after himself. It is so hard to get him to help clean up his room or a mess he makes in the kitchen or living room. But.... he LOVES spray bottles. If you give him some kind of bottle that sprays, he'll clean for hours. So he asked if he could clean the kitchen table. I found the bottle of All Purpose Cleaner - Green Mandarin & Leaf, gave him a roll of Natural Paper Towels and he went to town. He said 'Mmmm, mom this stuff smells good.' Then he came back for the Kitchen Cleaner - Wild Orange & Cedar Spice and cleaned the whole outside of the stove!

The first thing I tried was Glass and Surface Cleaner - Ruby Grapefruit and Herb

It has a plant-derived cleaning agent that provides a streak-free shine without leaving harmful residues.

From the bottle:
If every household in the U.S. replaced just one bottle of 32 oz. solvent based glass cleaner with our 32 oz. solvent free product, we could prevent 11 million pounds of volatile organic chemicals (VOC's) from being released into the environment.

What I really liked about this product is the smell. It has a nice fresh smell that isn't very strong like alot of other glass cleaners.

My overall opinion on all of the products I tried from Seventh Generation is good. They clean well and smell great. My bathroom is really tiny, so I usually leave the room every few minutes while cleaning because the strong smell of the cleaners gets to me. I used both the Tub & Tile and Shower cleaners in there and it wasn't as bad as it usually is. I would definitely recommend these products to anyone, and I for one am hooked.
