Wednesday, December 8, 2010 Colors of Fall Design Challenge

I've been a very busy girl again! I'm trying to find the time to get back into the swing of things and
get back to my true passion, which is creating gorgeous jewelry! Somehow, life and other obligations seem to always get in the way though. BUT, I have been making things!

I was challenged by to come up with some fall designs. This is one of my favorites and was actually inspired by my backyard and all of the beautiful colors in my garden. Fall to me, doesn't have to be just yellows, reds and oranges. I included purples and greens in this design.

This design {Autumn Nights} includes leaf beads,  glass beads and a pendant. I love this because it can be dressed up or worn casual.

The A-List Teacher Charm Bracelet was inspired by the wonderful teachers that my boys have been blessed with of course! Learning just wouldn't be the same without them! This lovely charm bracelet features glass beads, spacers and charms. The bracelet is finished of with a toggle clasp and the length can be adjusted.

Lastly, I have the Fairy Garden Charm Bracelet which features a fairy charm, a little star and a key to unlock the garden. I paired this with purple, red and bronze beads to finish off the look. provided me with the supplies to make these designs. Opinions expressed are my own.

Summertime Designs with

This summer has been extremely busy. I'm sure you're wondering where the posts have gone, right? Well I didn't fall off the face of the Earth, if that's what you were thinking!

I have been busy playing with Glass Beads and charms to create some new designs. I have made some completely new things. Pieces that are not only new to you, but new to me as well. I have dabbed with brass findings, charms and different glass beads to bring some totally new and original pieces straight from my imagination.

Inspiration came immediately for the first piece I made. It's a beaded link bracelet twisted with copper chain with bee, lady bug and flower charms hanging from it. It's in my shop now and is called "Helen's Garden" after my grandmother. Thoughts of her and her garden inspired it, so it was only fitting to name it after her. I'm going to check out some pendants and make a matching necklace in the very near future {when life finally slows down and I can design again}.

I picked out my beads, knowing that I would be making some kind of charm bracelet or necklace. I had the whole "Ocean" theme in mind when choosing the class beads as well. I just started adding beads, silver spacers and caps and below is the result. I just love the way it turned out. There are charms and beads galore, but it's still dainty enough for my style.

These last earrings were inspired from a pink pair I made just like them. I used two different styles of glass flower beads and brass findings capped off with a really light blue fire polished glass bead.

The Beauty of Spring - Review

Spring is a beautiful season and perfect for inspiration since everything comes back to life. You see gorgeous new colors everywhere you look. This is much more pleasing on the eye than the ugliness of winter. Well at least winter when there's no snow on the ground and everything is brown and dead.

I was lucky enough to participate in "The Beauty of Spring" with I was able to pick out an assortment of items to help me make something inspired by one of my favorite seasons, Spring!

This gorgeous little necklace is a total reminder of Spring to me. It was made using glass beads like Czech Glass Flower Beads and Czech Fire-Polished Glass Beads. I think all of the little flowers and pastels are a perfect example of Springtime!

These little beauties below were made with sterling silver earring findings and more flowers. The necklace and earrings together are a perfect pair and just perfect for Spring! I hope you like my latest designs!

I received product for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions expressed are my own and are not influenced by any form of compensation.

Inspiration from Christine

Since I started blogging, I have been fortunate enough to meet some amazing women and wonderful friends. Some of these women I really care about and though we are miles apart and have never officially met, I consider them friends and very dear to my heart. One of those women is Christine from Live Laugh Love and Bloggings. She is truly an amazing, wonderful and caring person. And she just happens to love my shop! I recently worked with her on a custom designed watch and this beauty below is the end result. I'm so happy she loves it!

The Christine - Pink, Black and White Beaded Watch is currently available in my shop and there will be more watch designs to come!

Razor Pro Model Kick Scooter in Clear Review

CSN Stores is full of so many great products. I could literally get lost on the site for hours. OK yes, I actually have! I must have browsed around for at least an hour deciding on what I wanted. I found so many thing that I would love for myself. They have a huge housewares section that I must have browsed through for at least 30 minutes. Then I thought, "Oh wait, the kids" and started browsing through stuff for them. I browsed the kids bedding for a bit, but then decided against it. I found something I loved, but would have had to redecorate their entire room. Um, no thanks! Pretty soon they'll want it their own way anyway, so what's the point?

However, the loving mommy in me did win out and I chose the Razor Pro Model Kick Scooter in Clear for my little munchkins. I figured that they could use a new one since their old scooter broke last summer. Now, little did I know before starting the scooter search just how many different models of the Razor Scooter there actually were! I couldn't believe it, and I actually had quite ahrd time deciding. Cameron is a little trixter and loves to do tricks on the scooter, so I figured I'd get one that could stand up to the test! Here's a little bit of info about the scooter:

Designed and tested by Team Razor Pro-Riders, The Pro Model Kick Scooter is built to perform through the toughest tricks. This kick scooter has a full deck grip tape designed by Team Razor Pro-Rider Ricky Wernicke and 98mm urethane wheels equipped with ABEC-5 high speed bearings. The Pro Model also sports a double stacked head tube clamp for extra strength and extra thick foam grips for additional palm protection. You can be a pro and ride one too with the Pro Model Kick Scooter!

Don't you just love the thrilled look on his face when mom snaps pictures? We just got back from the park and I think he had had enough!

I have the 2 boys, and my 2 brothers who are teenagers live 2 houses away. The kids are always playing together and share their toys. All 4 of those boys have rode this scooter and say that it's the best one they've rode for tricks. It has a patented fender brake and can hold a ride up to 220 pounds. When Leland heard that, he just had to test the scooter out himself. Maybe I should have taken a picture of him instead. Now that would have been funny!

I received and item free of charge for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions are mine and my families and are not influenced by any form of compensation.
